Objective of the Project: |
- Construction of systematic database on the prevalence of malaria in Arunachal Pradesh.
- Build up a correlation between the data sets of various parameters to develop predictions on outbreak of disease.
- Utilization of data mining tools for predicting the outbreak of malaria in the state.
- Customization of software which is feasible to operate in the field to the concerned officials

Need for the Project The Problem: |
Since there are several pitfalls in the existing control programs, it is necessary to bridge the communication and information gap between the administrators and the endemic zones of malaria for assessing the situation from time to time through Information Technology tools. This will help in taking the right decisions at right time and facilitates the control measures as quickly as possible. This will help in taking the right decisions and pass it on through quick mode of transport from the nodal point. In spite of the anti larval and anti adult operations to control malaria in North-East region, the mortality due to the dreaded disease is posing a major problem in public health. Hence, the present study is proposed mainly focusing on utilization of Information Technology tools for developing the systematic database on vector complexity and data mining, which predicts the outbreak of the malaria.
