| Objective of the Project: |
1) Design and Development of Database Management System for Epidemiological,
Entomological and Socio- Economic parameters of Filariasis.
2) Data mining tools for predicting the vector abundance and disease transmission for the
control of filariasis.
3) Mapping the endemic zones based on the severity of the disease
- Development of user-friendly front-end software to enable data input and query operations.
- Report generation in text format.
- Generation of required themes by combining the spatial and non-spatial data.
- Generating epidemiological maps by using GIS.
- Make the GIS maps and predictions generated by Data mining tools available on the web.
4) Draw a strategic plan in collaboration with the Directorate of Health, Govt. of AP to utilize
the output of the project for the integrated control of filariasis. |
| Salient features |
1) Web based application is developed for the purpose of providing the features such as
data entry, modification and generation of various combinational reports etc.
2) The web application software is responsible for storing and managing the data related
to the Filariasis. ) |
