Dengue outbreak in Bengaluru, Karnataka

The Karnataka state has recorded nearly a 60% increase in dengue cases in the first six months of 2024, where a total of 2,457 dengue cases have been reported during this period. Notably, 1,246 cases have been registered from June 1 to June 20 alone, of which 1,230 cases were recorded within the BBMP (Bruhath Bengaluru Mahanagara palike) limits. The Mahadevpura and eastern zones have seen the highest number of dengue cases, while Bengaluru Rural and Bengaluru Urban districts recorded a total of 30 cases.
