Omicron cases in India:

 

India's Omicron tally has jumped to 358 on 24-12-2021, with Maharashtra at 88 cases, followed by Delhi at 67. The Active Covid-19 caseload in India stands at 77,516.

Cholera cases in Vadodara, Gujarat:

 

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) on 22-12-2021 detected 10 confirmed cases of cholera, taking the total tally to 76 in the year 2021, the highest in the last three years. Of the 10 cases, one case each was reported in Maneja, Navapura, and Fatehpura while seven cases were reported from the Harijanvaas area of Juni Gadi in the old city area of Vadodara. VMC had reported six cases of cholera in 2017, 102 in 2018, 67 in 2019 and one case in 2020.

 

Scrub Typhus cases in Hyderabad, Telangana:

 

15 cases of Scrub Typhus disease have been recorded in Hyderabad. All the patients are currently being treated at the Gandhi Hospital in the city and most of the victims are children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), scrub typhus is caused by a bacteria called Orientia tsutsugamushi. It is also known as bush typhus. Scrub typhus is spread to people through bites of infected chiggers (larval mites). Signs and symptoms may include fever and chills, headache, muscle aches, body aches and rashes.
