Dengue in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh
The first dengue case was reported this year on September 1 and the total of vector borne disease cases raised to 312 till September 30, indicating an average of 10.4 cases per day. With 147 more cases till October 9, the incidence of dengue has increased to 15.87 cases per day. According to officials, dengue cases are still on the rise and increasing at a faster rate.
Dengue cases in Telangana’s urban centres
The urban centres of Telangana, especially areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts reported a large number of dengue cases in the months of September and October. Also, Warangal, Khammam, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts have seen a sharp rise in malaria cases
Zika virus in Kanpur District, Uttar Pradesh
The first case of Zika virus in Uttar Pradesh has been detected in Kanpur.
