Dengue Cases In India

Madhya Pradesh: The month October has reported 1,468 dengue cases across the state of Madhya Pradesh. There are over 2,700 cases of dengue have been reported across the state this year. National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) is monitoring situation in Gwalior division, which has reported significant number of dengue cases this year. Cases of dengue are expected to decline as cold weather sets in,” said NVBDCP state representative Himashu Jaiswal.

Delhi: According to the latest report of the municipal corporation of Delhi, 707 cases of dengue, 24 cases of malaria and 31 chikungunya cases were reported in the last one week. Of the 707 cases of dengue, 290 were reported in Delhi while the remaining are from other states. This year, 3,401 cases of dengue have been reported, of which 1,310 were from Delhi. Similarly, over 800 cases of malaria have also been reported this year.

Andhra Pradesh: East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh has reported over 417 dengue cases. In October alone, 112 such cases were reported in the district. Municipal Commissioner K Ramesh said steps were taken to control the mosquito menace in the district.
