One day workshop on demonstration of Filariasis Database was organized at the respective District Medical and Health Office (DM & HO), Karimnagar, Chittoor, East & West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh on the following dates 25th June 2009 at (Karimnagar) 8th July 2009 at (Chittoor), 27th July 2009 at Kakinada (East Godavari) and 21st August 2009 at Eluru (West Godavari). The main aim of the workshop was to hand over the database to health officials and give hands on training to the health supervisors, health assistants and other staff who are involved in day to day activities of controlling Filariasis in four districts of Andhra Pradesh. The project was successfully completed by Dr.USN Murty, Director Grade Scientist, Project Leader, Biology Division, IICT and his team members Dr.M.Srinivasa Rao, Dr.K.Madhusudhan Rao, Mr.K.Sriram and team members from CDAC, Hyderabad. This project was funded by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MC & IT) Govt. of India, New Delhi.
